Mmmmm....I didn't think the 2013 beyond January TF dates were out yet? However Easter is usually a pretty safe bet.
Just a suggestion, the Dorint IMO is a pretty bland and souless place to stay, have you considered the Blau Ecke or Landhaus Sonnehof in Adenau? Lots more places locally to eat and a few more places to have a beer.
Mr TS, go do it fella.....always an excellent long weekend at the Nurburgring.
Cheers

We always stay at the Dorint, it's cheap, has a swimming pool and drivers bar.

Anyone who can find time and money should do this trip. It is a lifetime bonus achievement. I am planning on doing the same road trip in July 2013 but from Greece And to be exact Greece>Italy>Switzerland>France>Germany>Czech Republic>Austria>Italy>Greece I believe it is something i will most certainly enjoy! To be honest this trip is the reason i got the Z4 My only concern about this trip is that i have heard rumors that there are occasional attacks to passing cars from the italian mafia on the switzerland-italy border on the alps. Most probably nothing to worry about, but then again you never know

This is very tempting, I have got 2 weeks booked off (23rd March-5th April) but Mrs W wants to go skiing from 24th-31st March so I might not be back in time
Will keep you posted...

Easter is at the end of March, beginning of April this year, so while it's a better bet than early March, it has been known to still have snow in April.Lance wrote:However Easter is usually a pretty safe bet.
Also Easter weekend is the 3-4 day Car Freitag where EVERYONE comes - as it's usually the unofficial 'start of the season' event.
I believe this year is it 29-31st March - and it's April Fool's Day the following day

I've been there in May and woken up to a couple of inches of snow.mmm-five wrote: Easter is at the end of March, beginning of April this year, so while it's a better bet than early March, it has been known to still have snow in April.

Not sure I would, or at least I wouldn't be thrashing it if I did. The drive down and the photo opportunities would be epic. I might need a co-pilot though if I do this though.
