Bluetooth and iphone 5, copying directory

Post by Geezah » Sat Dec 07, 2013 8:06 pm

Discovered that my zed was factory fitted with Bluetooth hands free...bonus!

Checked out the manual and it was pretty straightforward to hook up my idiotphone5 and I was well impressed as it transferred my directory from my phone to the radio/display. Used it a few times scrolling through the directory using steering wheel controls, partly to try it out and partly to show off to my mates. Pretty good apart from the basic scrolling functions on the wheel (I've got over 1,000 contacts on my phone - it takes forever to scroll to the contact you want! Am I missing something?).

Anyhow,

Next day back in the zed, directory has somehow disappeared from my radio display in the car! Anyone know why and how I can get it back again?

(Apologies for posting this twice but I put it under wrong forum last time.)

Maybe the Bluetooth disconnected ? I have the e89. I don't think it transfers the numbers just reads them from the phone. Again on mine you can press the buttons on the stereo to short cut to letters of the alphabet

Hi Stan, thanks but the Bluetooth is connected as I can make calls, weird that it copied the directory initially but the next day gave me a 'no entries' message. If it ever works again I'll try your tip to scroll through the entries.
