Also, to improve back health... if you cannot drive yourself to exercise for back fitness... get a young spouse or intimate friend...and engage in back strengthening activity often... it's motivating.... in many ways. :dance2:

I would suggest either upgrading to sport seats or getting a supply of oxycodone...

Have soft nappa sports+ seats with all (motorised) adjustments except ... lumbar.

Spent first week with car thinking I'd made a mistake, then threw away runflats. Spent next three weeks thinking I'd still made a mistake, then finally found right seat position (and discovered lumbar support wasn't necessary).

Two caveats, though. 'Saving' the position doesn't help, because the Romanians always move all the switches, including the 'Save'. So I remember it.

And my experience of manual adjustment is that it just ain't as good.

Don't change your seat... change your back... it's a better option. Yes... y'all are old if you don't get enough exercise...

Nah, need 'em. Only washed a car once in my life and didn't enjoy it.

Ironically after this discussion I was stricken with the most acute pain in my femoral nerve..it was excruciating…

My Volvo xc70 seats were the worst to sit in..an old E89with non MSport seats was the most comfortable…

I went to see osteopath who lambasted me for poor posture poor lifestyle management…

I had a course of 4 treatments from her together with a daily stretching / strengthening exercise of the type pregnant / post pregnancy mothers have…

5-6 weeks on I feel so much better and now my back pain is much reduced to the point most of the time I don’t notice..

I can now sit in any car for 2-3 hours without discomfort…

Result..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is  Previously a slightly less modified Atacama Yellow 20i MSport

Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

The most comfortable seats I have are my manual Golf Sports seats, you "fall" into them and only have back / forth and back adjustments.

The Porsche however, has 18 way seats and I am forever fiddling with them to get in a sweet spot.

I dont rate osteopaths going by my experience with one (could just have been a bad one)
Had sharp pains in my shoulder running down my arm almost to my wrist along with limited movement in most directions.
It was interfering with my work and my archery.
Osteopath diagnosed it as a damaged supraspinatus tendon and started to try and get some movement back into it over 4 weeks with excercises to do inbetween.
During the final visit he gave up and said he had misdiagnosed and that I had a frozen shoulder that will take possibly 18 months to heal, if it heals at all.
Went to the docs and after a bit of to and fro got a cortozone injection in my shoulder that enabled me to get a bit more movement with less pain and I could get more sleep as well.
Still not 100% alignment yet but its getting there with just the odd ache.
