Be a lot less f***ing about to just buy a 3.0 and have the whole hog surely? They don't go for much nowadays anyway.

Yeah it would mate but took me a long time to find a Z4 that I was happy to buy..... mines only done 33,000 miles and totally mint, i couldn't find a 3.0l car in the condition I was hoping for..

I'm really not that bothered about the level of work involved, I've done numerous engine conversions etc on my own cars over the years and really enjoy it.

From memory my Roadster in 6th and at 3000 rpm speed was 80 mph
