Hi there,
Has anyone fitted a Connects2 bluetooth adapter to a Z4? If so .. quick question..
I have bought a CTABMBT009.
My car is a 2008 E85, with business CD, I do not have a CD mulitchanger, am I right in thinking that this just plugs in the back of the radio where the CD port is? I take it the CD port doesnt need coding etc to work?
Thanks in advance!

I fitted one of these about 12 months ago. My Z4 is a pre-facelift model.
From memory, you have to unplug the main car loom connector from the back of the head unit. A short extension loom then fits between the head unit connector and the loom connector. The extension loom has a smaller connector that then goes to the Bluetooth box.
The most difficult bit is pulling the head unit out of the dash, for which a collection of credit cards to use as wedges is very useful. Once that's done, it's pretty obvious what goes where.
The device works well for streaming misic but I've never maganed to control the hands free function using any of the head unit buttons. I'd be interested to hear if you can get this function working...

Thanks for the reply jim28270, it sounds pretty straight forward then ! although I am encountering problems at the first hurdle, the air vents are a right PITA! they will not budge despite doing everything correctly, I have some trim removal tools and they wont budge the vents, I will try the credit cards and see if that is any better, someone got some string behind the vents and pulled it out that way, might try that!
Thats strange about not being able to answer calls via the head unit, I read that the forward/reverse buttons are supposed to answer/end calls? are you answering calls via the steering wheel controls then?? I will let you know if I can use the head unit, will have a crack at it at the weekend.
Fingers crossed!

Hi, did this work for calls in the end? I'm looking at options for BT in my pre-facelift.
