Poll - Z4 Gear Knob

Post by 3djam » Tue May 19, 2009 8:26 pm

I thought I'd start a poll to see how many people reckon the ZHP Gear Knob is a good mod to have on the Z4.

I'm very grateful for your input.

Thanks in advance.

Mik - The ZHP gear knob is an OEM gear lever that is shorter and slightly heavier than the original. It is leather and also more chunky than the original. I found out about it from this forum and I reckon it looks realy good.

The ZHP knob is probably one of the best value for money mods for the car. You can pick them up S/H from about £25 on ebay or about £50 new. They were standard fitment to late model E46 sports. I bought a second one to go on my girfriends E36.
Stormwerks would be my second choice, but I like the oem look of the ZHP.

I have a Whalen pool ball which I love. I went for purple 4 and people always woner if the car only has 4 gears...lol

Love it as it shortened the stick slightly and improved the weighting. easier shifting now.

Would a shorter shift knob be harder to reach with the leatherZ arm rest installed?

Still have the original one, but that might be my next mod, going for the ZHP.
