Missing parcel shelf clips

Anyone got a source for these clips that hold the parcel shelf in place? Or an alternative before I go to BM?

Missing parcel shelf clips

Most likely you will have to get them from BMW unless anyone on here is breaking a car. They are a bit of a fiddle to fit back in, they only go in one way so you have to orintate them correct way around and streatch in over the headrests to feel for the slots they go in and press them in. Always a danger of them pingging off and getting lost when you remove them.

Cheers colb, yes I had three and managed to lose one that last time I took the shelf off so was looking for two. £5.50 each so I thought I would ask.

mac27040 - I saw that you can 3D print them but I dont have a printer so that option is out for me.

And now I feel stupid for contorting through the boot to do this with my finger tips :headbang:

Haha, rear ones through the boot and the front ones from the seats with the roof half down. That's the easy bit. Getting them out without them ricocheting down the wells is the skill!!

You dont need to contort yourself stretching over the seats blindly. The fins on the parcel shelf are removable, while holding the shelf in place with one hand just pull them upwards they click off. When putting the fin back just make sure the spring tab is in the right place. Take a look at the one remaining after removing the first one.

Cheers, tug

Or even more simple… The clips pop off every now and then and usually end in the wells on either side. With the roof up, reach behind the seat and just pick them up by hand. If you have the roof motor still in the original location, a boroscope or cell phone camera helps to locate them.

I’ve got four, they are somewhere in the boot as I never got around to putting them back in when I did the rear shocks a year or so ago 🤣🤣
