To Settle and back...for fish & chips !
Had a very enjoyable run out yesterday with a few forum friends. Met up near Preston with Jamesditchy, who chose and led an excellent route; AlienZed, LankyLancsLad, and Cerbera. Weather wise the first 40 miles or so through the Trough of Bowland did not bode well...it was lashing it down ! However, a quick coffee and toilet stop at Devils Bridge and the rain ceased, the hoods went down and off we went ! Even though it was spitting with rain occasionally, and driving through low cloud over the tops; the hoods stayed down the rest of the route and the sun even came out for the last couple of hours returning home. Along the way we passed through Sedbergh, Garsdale, Nateby, Buttertubs Pass, Hawes, Ribblehead Viaduct and finally the prize at the end...fish & chips in Settle ! After a dismal start it turned into a cracking day out and TBH even earlier on splashing through Bowland with hoods up it just felt good to be out !

Was a good run out indeed and was good to catch up with other zedders. Roads were mostly quiet which made for a very smooth 1st drive out after lockdown.patriot66 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:59 am Had a very enjoyable run out yesterday with a few forum friends. A grand day out ,1st of the season, all behaved and observed todays protocols ,
Thanks to Jamesditchy for getting us out of hibernation and leading us around a great route, not that we saw much of him ,foot to floor job and gone a mere spec in the distance , a bit like Peter (PBondar ) just fks off and leaves us all.

One of my favourite parts fo the world and a great area for driving. Over the years have regularly stayed at the Stone House Hotel just outside Hawes,

It sounds like you had a great day out and the scenery looks stunning.
It's good to be able to use our Zeds for what they were designed for!

Yep, I've followed Jamesditchy as well and struggled to keep up...he's like a hare of a trap...gone and round the next bend...

This can be viewed 2 ways, either I forget that people are following or I'm trying my best to get to the rest stop before everyone else to get the best pick of the cakesKit Mitchell wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:18 pm Thanks to Jamesditchy for getting us out of hibernation and leading us around a great route, ........not that we saw much of him ,foot to floor job and gone a mere spec in the distance....., a bit like Peter (PBondar ) just fks off and leaves us all.
