I realise that for many an E89 is a 2nd ... nth car, used only on high days & holidays. For me, however, my 10,000-mile-a-year 35iS is my only car. Well, apart from the wife's 'be careful with it now' Fiesta.
To those who use their E89 like me - and especially if you have a 35iS - I recommend BMW Insured Warranty.
My entries on pages 10 & 11 of the "E89 Comprehensive problem list" sticky at the top of "E89 problems" detail why.

BMW Insured Warranty update
When my renewal arrives in March this year, I’ll have only covered about 1k miles in the year (lockdown) - so they’ve had their money’s worth out of me - under normal circumstances it goes out to Germany for three weeks along with U.K. trips.
My BMW warranty also has assist package attached so I know if anything did happen I would be assisted by a BMW fella.

You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
