Comfort Pack

Post by r2uzenblot » Wed Jul 26, 2023 10:26 pm

Anyone using the walk up keyless entry which comes with the comfort pack. I activated it and then found when I went to the garage or to put the rubbish out the car unlocked as I had the keys in my pocket. So I unticked it on the control panel. The other issue I can see is that if you walked up to the car someone could open the passenger side and grab things. Anyone kept the walk up option to unlock and think it's good?

I use it all the time. Don’t mind the the unlocking if I walk past it.

I have it on my M4 and I use it, yes it opens as you walk up but will lock as you walk away.

Switched off on mine. I found the flapping in and out of the wing mirrors annoying :-) Mine just unlocks when I pull the door handle.

You can turn the wing mirrors function off in settings.
Abstinence is fine, in moderation.

ive got mine turned on, but I have my wife's key so only the drivers door unlocks so no-one can jump in the passenger seat, I have my key so both doors unlock. it can be annoying if the key is in your pocket snd your going in and out of the garage for other things though. also if im washing it, I unlock the car with the remote from a distance then leave the key in the garage and go open the door, its the only way ive found of the bloody thing unlocking and locking while washing it. before I started doing that id have the alarm go off quite a bit while washing it.

I know, but I find it a useful visual indicator that the car is locked.

I think but not sure you can just have the driver side unlock when you approach?

I do however use the touch point on the door handle to lock it when walking away in a busy car park. You never know who is around monitoring keyless entry vehicles

Same here. I don't lock it any other way.
