Trading in the Kona Ron, will have had it 4 years this December. Will be sorry to see it go as it been a good everyday car. A new model has just been released but its a fair bit larger than mine and would be a tight fit in the garage.

So when does does your current car go in if the new car isn’t available until June?

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Will just part ex it at the time Ron, obviously the sooner the better :|

Dealer said hopefully it will arrive before June but it has to take the slow boat from Turkey 🇹🇷 so not banking on it.

June 2024, Tim? By then your part ex will be worth about £10!

Cancel the order and buy a 'proper' hot hatch:

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

They could have you over a barrel by the eventual delivery time!
They could (and probably will) offeryou peanuts for your trade in and your only option would be to reject that offer - they won’t be bothered as they will have new stock to sell immediately at the April 2024 price - happy dealership!

Or is that me just being a cynical old git?

I was banking on it being a 12 months wait anyways Ron, just be nice if it does arrive sooner.

Thing is they won't have new stock of the i20N, the one I've bagged is already the dealers only order which was supposed to be their demo and that's taking 12 months to arrive as it is.

I don't think anyone gets a good deal trading in. The only slight plus pre trade in is I bought the car for 10k end of PCP balloon payment back in May and was worth around 15k trade in so slightly up as of now anyways

That is maybe because you haven't driven one! The best fun you can have with your clothes on in 2023! :D

I’m sure the car is fun and very well screwed together - but I couldn’t live with that bootlid spoiler - I didn’t buy a Subaru many years ago for the very same reason.

Maybe try a Hyundai N model Pondrew you might be pleasantly surprised 8)

I've not tried the Honda, I'm sure it's great fun but then if buying new current prices are creeping into better car territory I reckon.

Received a surprise update today, looks like the car will be built by Friday this week and will arrive in the Country by the end of the Month and due at the dealers by 24th November :) A bit of a move forward from delivery June 2024, hopefully. Perhaps the workers have had a raise :)
