ULEZ in cities other than London

"Your vehicle
Red BMW Z4 SDRIVE 35IS
Country of registration
United Kingdom
Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)
This vehicle meets the ULEZ emissions standards
You do not need to pay a daily ULEZ charge to drive in the zone, and are helping to improve air quality across London
"

Does this mean, I wonder, that if The People's Socialist Democratic City of Leicester imposes ULEZ, I won't have to pay it and can cruise round to my heart's content "helping to improve air quality" here, too?

I don't know what the difference is but apparently glasgows ulez is more strict than Londons with more vehicles banned.
It may be that you can drive a non ulez car in London if you pay the daily £12.50 but glasgow you just get fined

I'm sure you paying a fine helps the environment, right? If you can't afford the environmentally toxic mess an electric car is, you must be able to afford new taxes. Too many new godless religions and zealots. We've got some work to do on this side of the pond to limit the power-hungry leftists here. Hate to see it happen to others.

Cheers to the Blade Runners.

Try to overturn the government. Oh wait. Somebody already tried that.

As I read in history, that worked out pretty well, establishing a republic that has flourished and established the freedom of the individual, property rights, and natural rights for almost 850 years. We mended previous relations with GB and are now flourishing partners. Can't complain about the outcome at all.

May I respectfully recommend to read more contemporaneous history books ? Circa 2021, perhaps ? There was a gang of ‘power-hungry’ right-wing folk that wanted to grab power at all cost. They’ve nearly succeeded.

lmao... partisan drama and prop. I was speaking to the increasing nature of all current governments to the reduction of freedoms by the threat of force/taxation. While that has led to the overthrow of governments significantly in the past, with enough education and support the people can make such change against such zealotry without force, but through representative process.

You don't have to overturn Governments to control the population. Control the money supply is all you need.

A cashless society with digital currency only, gives the banks and those who own them total control over everybody and everything.

Nice try. Nah, you weren't. You are bashing the left. Specifically the 'power-hungry leftists'. When in fact, shy of three years ago, it was the right wing that literally tried to overthrow a democratically-elected government literally by force, fists, bear spray, batons, bats, tyre irons, etc. Wait, 'education' will solve the problem? The right has been dismantling and defunding public education for decades. You're a funny guy, Christopher.

There's probably a different forum here for political banter, so we should likely cease here lest we ruin the mood.
I enjoy good conversation... I don't want to develop animosity since we all have one common love here.
