What wheels on an E85??

Post by highflyer79 » Mon Sep 11, 2023 1:23 pm

Hi all.

Just looking at an E85 and it’s coming with these wheels. Looking on the internet thy look like 262’s. It said they’re a premium upgrade to the others. But can’t find any information on this. Can anybody shed any light please. I do like the look of them.

According to this Style 262 wheels were fitted to E87 1 Series models and are staggered 17" rims 7J front and 7.5J rear ET47 so they would fit an E85:- https://www.bing.com/search?pglt=41&q=b ... A1&PC=DCTS

But the images on there don't seem to have a space for the M badges. :?

They aren’t 262s, they are 325s. They were a wheel option for the E89 and never fitted as standard (or offered as an option) for the E85.
They are 8 x 18 et29 at the front, which may be a bit aggressive for the E85 depending on tyre choice (risk of rubbing) and 8.5 x 18 et40 at the back which is OK or could even take a 10mm spacer.

Ah thank you both. Yeah looking back now I think you’re right ZeeBee. I’m concerned then at the risk of rubbing. The alloys look fab but if it come down to it I may just stick with the standard ones it should come with.

In that case they may be OK on an E85, depending what suspension it has.

I ran a set of E89 wheels with exactly those dimensions and offsets on my previous E86 without any rubbing issues. It had standard Sport suspension.
