Coupe modifications so far .............Latest update - Carbon Diffuser
Having seen these fitted on other Z's, this will look amazing against the blue of your Coupe!
(A longshot but...) By any chance do you still have the template used to cut the rear bumper? I acquired one of these 2nd hand a while back, however it didn't come with the template, and I don't want to start chopping bits of the bumper off unnecessarily!

Thanks Jock156 - for reference, it is the second last photo that 1536Z4 shared (of the rear bumper, with the white template applied, showing where to cut, where to drill)

Sorry Calps it went in the bin and that has been collected .Didn`t even cross my mind to keep it . Two of the holes were slightly out on mine when I fitted the diffuser and had to drill out the bumper again on the last two holes on the right hand side . Hopefully Jock has that sorted for you . Didn`t get a photo today but looks really nice . It is bloody expensive though once you have paid the shipping and import tax on it .

I have now had a few short drives out in it and I would say it has reduced the noise level slightly but not as much as I would have liked . I should have done a decibel test before putting the insulation in and taken the car out straight after doing the insulation as I may have noticed more noise reduction ( possibly ) . I think the black foam and rockwool are worth doing as they are cheap and light but I don`t think I would bother with the bitumen sound deadening as it adds weight without much noise reduction .

Excellent. It’s a great (if not a bit expensive) addition for the car. Sadly don’t have the template any more though

Coupe modifications so far .............Latest update - Carbon Roof
Fitted a Geoff Steel carbon roof .
All in all not a hard job to do apart from cutting the silicone around where the bolts go through to the original roof as there is not much of a gap to get the wire through . I did end up cutting my wrist due to lack of concentration . I turned my hand over whilst cutting the last bit of silicon on one of the corners and caught my wrist on the hot wire so be careful as it could have been a lot worse . The roof had an excess of resin on the rear right corner which made it look cloudy as you can see in one of the photos . I decided to sand this down with 2500 wet and dry which did the job but unfortunately I went through to the carbon fibre in one small area which has now left it looking dull
I finished the roof with a polish . It is well known that these roofs are not showroom quality and are for purpose rather than looks but I think they are a good compromise . The seals that go between the roof and the sides are a discontinued line see here viewtopic.php?t=146248 so I ended up using Geocel Marine sealant as I couldn`t find another seal that matched . It is a bit too glossy but will see how it weathers . I used Tiger Seal to bond the roof to the car and did not use the original bolts as the carbon roof does not have any threaded holes . The Tiger Seal should do the job anyway .
