What country are you in? All UK z4's have the factory alarm as standard fit.

US? yes you can add it.

There have been a few threads about this over the years - some dealers say no, it was a build option & not available afterwards, others say it's dealer fit & they have done it.

It's quite involved, with sensors all over the place, so likely quite expensive.

You may be better just getting a 3rd party alarm.

And a decent horn, alarm uses cars horns, not very loud.
And fit the alarm horn in the cab!
If you can mod one of those assault alarms the sound is ear piercing.

Y'all are crazy..

it's pretty cheap and simple to retrofit.. just with a catch... there's no cable for the siren/tilt sensor, so you'll have to make one.

link to another of my posts on the topic... I'll eventually get around to getting a custom wire run for the siren.. have a PDC, Camera, and Comfort Access retrofit a higher priority before I get busy with it.
