Boot lip spoiler recomendations

I'm thinking of getting a boot lip spoiler and have been looking at many different styles on Ebay and other sites.
Does anyone have any recomendations they could share with me please?

Several iterations of this version..

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254385884049

I’ve used them twice…fits well..of course you are going to colour match it..

I’d avoid others not made from C/F as the materials may, or in my case do react with paint..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Actually I was thinking of leaving it gloss black to give a bit of contrast.

I actually prefer colour coded, as left black just looks a bit out of place bolted on. Have to say BMW absolutely nailed it with the E85 boot lip not sure why they strayed away from it so much.

I've been looking at this one:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134763081530 ... media=COPY

In black or carbon fibre either way I would colour code to the car, just looks naff otherwise IMHO! But I do wish they would make them in thinner slimmer profile like the OEM BMW ones for the 3 or 5 series. These are bit thick / wide but there aren't many options out there for the E89.

Looks like one of those that will struggle with the paint… :tumbleweed:

Yep, it's just an example of the style. I am sure I have seen them in other finishes even one listing that offers to supply it already painted to match your car.

I did take one pre painted ..it was a bad match..then bubbled up on the paint I used for the repaint.. :headbang:

Personally I am not 100% happy with any of the ones being offered in ebay aliexpress etc. I would like to make my own but not sure how to go about doing that. Think I need a 3D scanner and cad software or something like that. Could then make a mold and make it out of carbon fibre / fibre glass etc. I wish BMW offered one as they do for the 3 and 5 series, they are super subtle and look great.

I’m pleased with the two later ones I got..of the ones I’ve seen they seem the best…if someone manages to combine the best of the E85 ones that fits an E89 I’d be there…

Alternative recommendation? Don't have one.

Juliane Blasi did a wonderful job designing the outside of the E89 and it needs no help from you now.

On the whole yes I agree but can always do with a little help. Usually that comes from within BMW but not in the case of the E89. :D
