RESULT! you lot are officially fantastic. Amazing. Awesomely superb. Hubby took car to a good well recommended small garage and today they found the problem - hairline crack in rocker box cover. Just what you lot said it would it be.
God I usually hate it when men are right - but not this time :roll: :lol: :thumbsup: :driving:

Although my local garage’s meat n potato diet is sadly abused little run abouts, the owner used to spanner for Porkster, Mercy and Audi..

I gave him the heads up early in the week on what I thought it could be….wish every problem was so predictable to solve..
