Are Z4 M mirrors the same shape as those used by the other E85/86 variants please?

I think I'm right in saying that that they're the same shape across the board for all E85/86 incl M.

Yes, Realoem says one fits all.
So you just have to match the heated/folding/dimming options, which of course have no bearing on the shape.

One final question. I am in the process of buying Stu’s folding mirrors. Will my harness (which is only for electrically adjustable) fit these plug and okay or do I need a new harness too?

Errr? Do you mean you are buying them so you get folding ones? If so, and your car is built after around mid-04 then the loom won't be in place to do this as far as I am aware. Earlier cars had it all in place and you could find the plug behind the GM5 module to connect the control module in to.
I apologise to Stu if this affects his sale, but I'm pretty sure it is not as simple as just plug and play.

Ahh. That’s a shame for both me and Stu. Thanks for your advice.

You may want to double check with others. I am by no means infallible.

Hi,

I am pretty sure as enuff-zed has explained you will a least need the wiring loom and the control module.

Hope this helps.

The control module was part of the sale. Just the simple matter of the wiring! :?

I'll have a pair of door looms for folding mirrors soon, the other part of the loom from the module is simple to make up, done it many times before and happy to advise

Thank you all. Because I am terrible at electrics i have come to the conclusion that the mirrors would just sit on a shelf if I bought them as I would be terrified of mullering the car. As such I have reluctantly advised Stu that I won’t be able to proceed. They are still for sale. But thanks it it’s useful to know from the forum what’s what.
