BMW Connected Drive on E89 (UK people)

Unlocking from the app worked fine on my 2009 car back when I had a BMW teleservices subscription.

In fact it also had the contact sharing and web interface on the iDrive.

The BN2000 Combox was installed in all Z4s after 2010 that had the bluetooth streaming option but that is nothing to do with remote services.

When they discontinued 2G/3G support maybe that broke that particular piece of string..it definitely doesn’t wire on my 2011 nor did it on my 2012 …

THought i would have a look even though my E89 is 2009 and i got the following error when entering my VIN

You need additional support for this vehicle. Please contact BMW ConnectedDrive customer support (MAPPING - 0207).

Does this just mean it wont work?

OK i called BMW connected drive and they said the error was because the car was old i couldnt add it to me car list and that they had to do it for me. That does not bode well for any of the services to work.
