Pondy, your at the start of your journey. Don't lose focus now, we all want to see the progress, minus the bruised knuckles and the profanities

Abstinence is fine, in moderation.

Your recent car history is about as random as i could ever imagine but credit to you for buying well in terms of each example & getting out before your fingers were even warm .
This project however i just don't get at all "IF" it ever gets finished you won't want to keep it anyway

You are correct. It's the challenge, not the car I want. But the end result has to be worth the hard work. I love the 250 california, it is the most beautiful car I have ever seen, so want the challenge of doing it justice. I have taken on many challenges in my life and succeeded in all of them to one degree or another.
I learned bricklaying. I learned cabinet-making. I learned roofing. I learned how to design and install domestic heating systems. I learned technical drawing. I have always loved cars, so here we are!
This is the last one left for me, as I know pretty much nothing about cars, or how they go together, or come apart. I have learned a lot already, believe me.
I never said I was 'normal'!

Credit to you, it seems obvious to me that you have the right mindset for this project, the other projects and skills you've learnt over the years proves this., but whatever you do when this project is finally finished is hand over the keys to a very suspect looking car park attendant.

Excellent, have the bits turned up to replace the bits you’ve sold?

Not anything very exciting....pretty much totally stripped (the car not me). I have started changing the colour from Blue to Red on the bits that will be seen; the body will be professionally sprayed of course.
I made the mistake of selling a few bits that I needed, so have been waiting for those bits to come up again. They are now ready and I should be getting them on Thursday.
The body panels, and most of the stuff for the main build is ready and waiting for me to pick it all up. I need to hire a Luton and drive down to Egham to get it all. That will be next week.
Tonight I have been checking, testing and lubricating my metal-cutting bandsaw and drill press. Both I inherited from my late dad and have been sat in the corner of the garage for the past six years. Both work fine I just need a new blade for the bandy.
