My apologies, the roadster would be different. I haven’t had any experience with stripping those yet. The cable can be tucked on the side of the console, I took the first time the console apart but that is not required. Subsequent times I simply removed the side screws from the left side of the tunnel and pushed the cable up as you have enough space to do so.
I would not want the controller under the handbrake, so need to think of something better (for me at least).
In the coupe, the navigation cables come from the boot, into the cabin. So I would assume they are also coming from the boot into the cabin, behind the nav unit.
