Few lionfish despatched today by my buddy, we also found a decent size crab.
Still trying to work out how to embed videos.

I`ve seen on TV and also read that they are a big problem . Shame you are still having a problem with embedding video .

Lion Fish are supposed to be good eating. Saw a holiday programme with a hotel chef in St Lucia cooking with them.

Good hunting.... and eating?

They kill everything they can on a reef.

They tend to hurt a lot if they sting you with one of their spines.

The only thing mine would kill given half a chance is our new neighbours cat. Its a Tom, twice as big but she has seen it off the premises once and haven't seen it again.

They are invasive and have no predators here. They prey on every other fish on the reef and breed rapidly. We kill them when we can, bigger ones we keep and eat. Highly poisonous spines, hospital visit if stung. Eels will take dead ones off the spear, but won't go near live ones.

Harder to hunt now they are learning, hiding and going deeper. Very good eating.

I caught a crab (not a rowing pun) in the summer whilst fishing in my local river. It was a big fecker too! I also saw a crayfish wandering past my 'swim' and I saw a snake swim past. All on the same day! It is 5 minutes from my house. Cheaper than Barbados and I don't need airtanks. And I didn't even get wet. :D
