Not a criticism more an observation..now so many cars have had mods / non standard parts etc so when folks complain about things broken it’s difficult to proffer advice without the causal factors…

I know it's not convenient, but have had knocking around a few years a cheap remote control that could be wired to operate roof either way once unlocked. Would mean carrying extra fob. Have been tempted to play as a project as a bit annoying to climb in car just to close roof when cleaning, etc.
Even have text operated module could do the same, but bit pointless. Would make good anti theft though.
