Yes, they call that builder’s tea around here. Strong, sweet with a dash of milk. Very nice. Having been up to Lancaster a few times over the last four years I’ve found the coffee at Starbucks is too bitter for us southerners
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

You wouldn't know how to make a proper cup of tea. You can't do, you have to be British to make decent tea. Although I know many British people who can't make a cup of tea properly....it isn't difficult...and if done properly only takes an hour or two!

Indeed. Made with boiled sweat from an honest day's graft! I can't stand weak tea; pointless IMO.

The old De Longhi has gone on the blink again so looking for a suitable replacement- any ideas ?

I found the De Linghi repair system less than reliable so was considering a move to another manufacturer.

Remember my Nana having Camp coffee in the 70's
Made me think that's what Coffee tasted like.

Was not until the mid 80's before i tried Coffee again.

Do enjoy a Yorkshire tea now and then, especially with plain buttered toast :)

I've got one of these, its ok but have spent a small fortune buying pods and still haven't found one i really like  But still they all taste better than my grandmas Camp coffee with STERILIZED MILK! back when i was a lad. "DRINK IT LAD, THINK OF ALL THE STARVIN IN THE WORLD!!"
Then for dinner we would have bread and drippin!! Asking what was for supper, it was always the same reply, "SH!T WITH SUGAR ON"
I loved the 60's.

Same here, always remember going to my nans having homemade bread and butter pudding washed down with Camp coffee, I always thought it was cough mixture. My grandad it was Camp coffee with a Woodbine :)

Used to have Yorkshire but downgraded to PG.

Up here in NE England we still have packs of tea delivered to the door by an old and established company of tea blenders. (Ringtons)

I’ve not heard of that anywhere else in the country?

The Vertuo price depends on the size of the shot too. So the single origin, limited edition blends will cost £1/pod, but the standard single espresso blend will be closer to £0.50/pod.

I like them mainly because I have a choice of different strengths (brew & caffeine) and flavours depending on my mood, without having to keep lots of part-used coffee bags in the freezer.

This is my last one from December (just the espressos as I was low on those)...but I normally order about every 3 months...and do get some discounts on machines/accessories due to being an 'ambassador' (aka punter).

I’ve done the full cycle of coffee machines, grinders, bean to cup, etc., found that making a good cup of coffee was often a laborious messy business.

I now have a regular £100 Nespresso machine which takes the small, regular pods. I have settled on Starbucks House Lungo, which makes a superb double espresso. Even at full price works out at 40p a cup, but I recently found boxes of 36 for £10, or 28p per cup.

No mess, quick, great coffee.

I was thinking of Camp coffee when I saw this thread. We had the same 'bottle' of Camp in the cupboard for years when I was a kid. My mum used it for trifles and posh desserts IIRC. Don't think anybody actually drank it! :D
