I used to admin on 350z-uk and we had a rule that to sell someone had to have 100 quality posts - so not just bulk replying to dozens of threads saying 'nice car' but actual contributions. It stops people using it as an easy free sales page, but also meant we had a higher weighting to proper enthusiasts in terms of who was selling cars on the forum.

In terms of this one, unfortunately buying private gives you little recourse. There is a section in the CRA that states you can have a case for a court won refund if buying privately and the car was misdescribed but its an expensive and drawn out process, and for what you have to fix, is probably not worth it.

Thanks Dave, much appreciated. It is only finding the water leak really. I have a sneaky feeling it may be the third brake light, as there appears to be a small gap along the bottom and there is water sticking to the underside of the bootlid around the carpet. I need to take the bootlid carpet out and have a look when it isn't minus 20 outside.

Water leaks are the worst to find. Certainly check under the right side carpet where the modules (roof, pdc etc) are as its a common place with the light gasket.
And yes a little chilly, I'm just sat here inside watching mine defrost before going to work

Do we know who this person is ?
I would never sell a car to someone unseen… it’s just not worth the hag . Especially to a forum member. I HAVE brought one unseen though, but that was from a dealer

Easy to find it in the Sales section.
Interestingly it was vouched for by another respected member too.

It is absolutely fine if you are an honest person, have integrity and CARE. With whatsapp videos, etc, it should be no problem.

I wonder if the rear light was damaged by the haulage company
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.
