This is proving harder than first anticipated… still looking, not much new coming to market.

3.0 N52 is back on the cards, as is yellow.

IDRIVE / heated seats and PDC are still an absolute must.

No longer searching, picking up a car for her tomorrow.

Doesn’t meet all criteria, but when a one owner, low mileage, garaged from new car comes up at very appealing price… you have to go an have a look

Alpine White 23i N52 / Black heated Msport seats / Cruise / Front and rear PDC / folding mirrors / extended lighting
1 owner for the last 13 years, 10 months and 18 days!
Full service history (genuinely full) - firstly BMW during first 4 years then annually since then. 62k miles.
Roof wiring loom and all sensors replaced by BMW in 2019
Boot soft close mechanism replaced in 2023
All original paintwork - with a few touched in stone chips - can’t wait to get this corrected and polished, going to look fantastic.
Never failed an MOT - only advisories have been tires

For these reasons, and the fact that it was right at the bottom end of her budget and very good price, overlooked the fact that it doesn’t have iDRIVE and Bluetooth for phone - will look at aftermarket options

I was very interested in the car and tried to organise a viewing for today but was told someone was viewing this morning. Looks like you beat me to it. Congratulations looks a nice car at a keen price ! I'm looking for a 23i / 30i on 17/18 inch wheels and must have the load through option ( or at least extended storage ).

Are you from Wales by any chance? He did mention he had a few people interested and someone else who wanted to view today if I didn’t buy it. It’s actually my partner buying it, I’m just doing all the hard work for her!

I think it does have extended storage on the options list too, probably something else I’ve forgotten.

I feel really bad saying this, but it’s exactly what you’d hope a one owner garaged from new, cherished car would be like…. Sorry 😔

No I'm based in Maidenhead, I was planning to jump on the train if it didn't sell this morning. It was just what I was looking for :(

Only slight negative was the very short MOT but the history was very good ( just 2 advisories for tyres ), so I expect it should go through the next one easily

Sounds like a gem! Not easy to find a one owner roadster of this age and with a proper service history.

Yes, I asked about the MOT being done in the week and picking it up next weekend, which would have been my preference.. but their new weekend car is being delivered on Monday and they only have one garage space. Not expecting any surprises - 🤞

There were others interested also, a chap from Wales was desperate to get to see it today and apparently asked if he could go before my 10.00am viewing! Thankfully the seller suggested that was a bit unfair as I was the first to make contact and agree a time to view.

My Mrs asked me why a 2.5 was suddenly on the ‘good engine list’ to which I replied… because I reminded myself the car wasn’t for me

Thanks, yes my Mrs can’t wait for tomorrow now… really genuine couple, said they’d had some lovely times in it and would be sad to see it go, but the lure of something new was now too strong after all these years… So a 718 in White with black interior lands on Monday :driving:

Yes I’ll get some photos up

It’s a typical properly looked after, but not enthusiast owned car. So the bodywork and interior is excellent, as is the boot… the engine bay is free of oil leaks.. but needs detailing… well, no engine bay ‘needs’ detailing, but it will be done.

I’m not sure how well white photographs in before and afters, but I’ll do my best to capture.
