E89 acquired.

Post by True-Blue » Thu Jan 18, 2024 2:04 pm

Afternoon all, (further edit - after viewing a few cars and further consideration)

My Mrs is looking for an N20 or 3.0 N52 powered E89 manual or auto she has a very realistic budget for a late car

Must be HPI clear

Must haves are;
    Heated seats
      IDRIVE
        PDC

Colours; Mineral grey / (Mineral or alpine) white / Estoril Blue / Valencia / Atacama Yellow

Ideally 60k miles or below - would consider above 60k, especially for N52 but needs to have a comprehensive service history

My Mrs is looking for a two seater fun car to use as a daily driver and the E89 is a definite option.

It needs to be an Auto with heated seats, and I’m ruling out the 35i as reliability is important.

She would consider a 23i but it would need to be exceptional, so ideally it’s a 30i or an N20 engined car.

Easier to say which colours are a no go; Black, both silvers.

Ideally 60k miles or below, but not a deal breaker - budget depends on car.
I am sure Pondy's Estoril blue E89 will be for sale shortly!

Well, the yellow ones rarely come up anyway and she doesn’t mind the brown/come orange :?

She likes; the Greys, Melbourne Red, DSB but not with a black interior, both whites with any coloured interior except brown

she doesn’t mind normal silver (not the Champaign one) but not with black interior.

I think that covers it :tumbleweed:

It is, yes. Also she would need to be a strong swimmer, or at least be proficient in snorkelling.

Hope you find a good one Martin! There does seem to be quite a few autos for sale at present
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

        F31 320i. Good car.
        E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
        Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

I'm considering selling my much loved E89 Z4 in the near future (Waiting for some nice weather to take some decent pictures!)

        20i M Sport but remapped to 28i specification (270-280bhp).

Auto in Melbourne Red with a black interior and brand new black MAK (Italy) alloy wheels and tyres.
They 18" with NRFs which have improved the ride immeasurably!

        I-Drive screen
        Heated Seats
        Parking Sensors (Front & Rear)
60K Miles, fully stamped service history (Early main dealer, then independent BMW specialist)
        New battery.
Rear brake discs and pads (Brembo) replaced 1K Miles ago.

We have a grandson on the way and I'm told I have to get 'a proper car' !

Open to reasonable offers from a knowledgeable buyer.
Z3 rare 2L Straight 6. Should have kept it!
E85 3.0Si sold back in 2014. Should have kept it!

Thanks Craig, we’ve been to look at a red one and a black one now and she’s ruled both the colours out… apologies.

Honestly, once she’s seen a VO with the Pure Traction interior there’ll be no going back.

Yep, she liked my previous VO… mine had a contrasting black roof from the factory, but I prefer the car all in orange
