I did a used unit off eBay and it’s still going strong, anymore issues and I’ll get a new one. As for the replacement process I simply undid the 4 bolts and swapped out the module itself! I did not touch the. Valve body as there was no issue with it.

booked mine into a BMW approved indi on March 3rd as if i need to recode and bleed brakes etc then that's above my ability.

One question i have is, i had a leak on the drivers side (rear window) and it made the carpet very wet. Could this cause a similar issue? Is there anything under there that could be affected by the water?

Yes there’s the longitudinal acceleration sensor for the DCS..

Well thats very strange..I'm disapointed BMW chose not to make this waterproof to 5 atmospheres...

ISTA should give you a more specifc diagnosis..

If you unbolty the seat, and remove the door trim you should be able to lift the carpet and see it..

I'm no E89 expert, so stand to be corrected, but the S 0085 No Communication with DSC stands out to me. If it can't communicate at all, wouldn't it stand to reason all the other DSC codes would pop up too.

Need a fresh clear then re read the codes..but it looks like the DSC is being taken down..we know if that happens almost everything else will then have issues..

car has gone into the indy this morning. He was very concerned that it cant change gear, it tries but only 2nd is driving (even that seems to slip now and again).

I have a bad feeling that this is going to be very expensive. :x
