I've got a 20 year old E85 in Toledo Blue. The paint has a few deep scratches down to the primer, on the front bumper and some lighter, age appropriate scratches in other places. Also, one panel has been badly rattle-canned and has a bit of a drip.
Will a detailer be able to improve this much? Will it cost a lot? If worth it, can anyone recommend a good detailer in the Worcester UK area, please?

Speak to Beedub on the forum. He is a master detailer and is only in Sutton Coldfield.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Maybe post up some photos. Be easier to make an assessment.
If the paint has gone through to primer a machine polish might help but the scratch line will still be visible
Some of the age one you can polish out but again depends on what they look like
Rattle can I am pretty sure would need a proper respray
To be honest, the price of a DA and polish nowadays its worth having one in the shed, great for paint correction but also for instance I used mine this morning with a sanding disc to help a mate out with his air box which had scratches on! Sanded it back using the DA and sprayed with plastidip, came up like new!

I'm in Worcestershire and do my own, as an amateur, doing it for 15 years.
Once I've cleaned, decontaminate and clayed, it's then you can go at it with a DA polisher.
Happy to take look for you.
