Breaking the steering lock
Some days you just have to play. Stripping this z4 to save a few others. No key so I used the angle grinder to chop the steering lock spring so I can roll it onto the ScrapMan’s trailer when done.

Could you not have got the ignition barrel out with a screwdriver, then saved the column?
