Wheel refurbishment

Post by Simon 3.2M » Mon Feb 05, 2024 1:12 pm

I have had several sets of wheels refurbed buy this guy who works out of his setup next to Longbridge Tyres in south Birmingham and I have been very impressed buy the speed of turnaround, the finish and the pricing. He's definately worth a call if he's local to you.

Wheel refurbishment

Post by tomscott » Mon Feb 05, 2024 2:12 pm

What is good money these days?

I got a quote from the Wheel Specialist as both my 224s and CSLs need a refurb. Think this was with a Christmas discount and thought it was a bit steep.

18"s with balancing was £384
19"s with balancing was £408

I had the CSL done by the Newcastle branch back in 2012 and they are only just in need so they have lasted a long time. My 224s that the previous owner had done are awful they were done in 2014, they are gunmetal and the paint is peeling off them as I don't think they were stripped and powder coated but just rubbed down and painted over as the old paint is showing below and damp must have got in to lift the paint.
