Mischa took my Alfa 147 JTDm around a few years ago, but the video was removed as Porsche complained that it made their GT3s look slow :P

Great looking carbon black 'Alpina'. Amazing driving skills on display. He drove that car like a casual sunday outing :driving:

I love how at the end he asks "is there an M version" and the owner says "yes but you'll never drive one"

I've already booked a 'ring trip in May.....

Can't say I'm a huge fan of his content but no doubt he knows his way around there. I'd expect someone like him would take a good 30s off my 8min wobble round there (i'm pretty much a novice there with <20 laps I think), but no, I wouldn't lend him my car for the 'likes' to find out! :D

You reckon? I always look at his pedal cam and think 'if there's that much time off the throttle you don't need to be left foot braking there"

I was always under the impression left foot braking was only advantageous to use when you were braking hard for a corner you don't need to change gear for, or in situations where you'd want to trail up to the apex with a little throttle in to get the nose in or to get the car starting to rotate. Or more in FWD Cars with a diff, riding the brakes with a bit of throttle as well to get the diff hooked up from turn in through the apex.

Feel free to correct me there, it's honestly not a skill I've mastered!

I'd say a low 8 is a respectable time Tom, particularly so considering the number of laps you've done!

I haven't done a trackday there, only just the one TF weekend last year. I didn't get a clear lap of the 6 I did over the weekend (mostly traffic/yellow flags, and of course my self-induced pirouette at youtube corner on the last lap  ) but my rough theoretical was looking at about 8m4Xsecs-ish on road tyres (MPSS). Now I know the rear tyres were 8 years old and had done a handful trackdays in that time, I think with the new AD09s on it should be a) easier to pedal, and b) a chunk quicker!

I'm not going there for laptimes (particularly on TF days that's just a bad idea), but I'll be curious to see how the old nail goes this year :)

By the way, I'm looking at another Donny evening session 29th April by the way if you're knocking about :) Also hoping to get Anglesey in this year (finally!) but dates tbc on that one.
