Utterly shocked TBH.
I listened to Wrighty on Radio 1, then Radio 2 for 40 years. And of course he presented TOTP many times.
I actually nearly ran him over once....about 30 years ago on Whitehall. He walked across the road right in front of me. Of course I was doing walking speed on Whitehall on a weekday afternoon. He put his hand on the bonnet of my van as he crossed. We exchanged a few brief pleasantries. Seemed a decent bloke!
RIP.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

I remember listening to him back in the mid 80s when my art teacher had the radio on in class. Mr Angry and Sid....and some character who kept farting and saying "excuse me".

Not that old either. Sad news.
