I was pleasantly surprised that it is compatible with all four of our cars; Mini R56, F31, E89 and even the old Z3 (although I need a round connector adaptor for the 'casserole pot' in the engine bay).
Great piece of kit for a numpty like me. Scanned three of the four cars today (not the Z3 as the battery isn't in it and I know it will have hundreds of codes cos I have taken most of the stuff off it).
NO codes on the E89, after a 'blip' the other day which said a knock sensor was shorted and the boost pressure was 'all-to-cock'.
No real codes on the F31, apart from a weird one which I Googled and apparently it is generated by Insta being connected at some point in the past.
AND no real codes on the POS Mini, either, which surprised the hell out of me!
My daughter has a 'black box' which is plugged permanently into the OBD port on the Mini, so had to take that out. Within a minute I (and she) got an email saying if we don't plug the box back in they will cancel her insurance!
