Need a driver's side Z4M (clear indicator and silver inner) please.

Thanks

If it’s full of water then the ballast underneath will have failed as well.

Do you think if I replace the ballast it'll work? Bulb is fine and I tried a new igniter but nothing

That’s what I did with mine. The ballast is common across lots of vehicles so easily obtainable. It’s in a stupid place really as any condensation drains into it and eventually corrodes everything.

Thank you. I will try that... hopefully saves me me a lot of money/hassle finding a full unit

Just looking at a backup plan if the ballast doesn't work

I know there have been many discussions about the compatibility of facelift/non facelift xenons.

AFAIK the pre facelift lights are not compatible with facelift Z4 (my 56 Z4M)

Is the light below a facelift? It's a xenon with clear indicator which makes me think it is but the guy said they're from a 2003. 🤔 Just curious if it would be plug and play with my 56 Z4MC.

Between pre and post facelift, you can tell by the ginger hockey stick (or clear).

Pre facelift is definitely not compatible. This uses all 8 pins while facelift only use 7 pins (for xenon).

The picture could be a xenon but you'd need the seller to flip the light to see if there is a ballast.

Also maybe this will help viewtopic.php?t=135548

Actually I'm 99% certain that's a halogen. The light unit is definitely post facelift. If they were on a pre-facelift and were working properly, it's only possible with halogen (as pre and post facelift are interchangeable).

Plot thickens.....They're definitely xenon. Maybe he was mistaken about it being from a 2003 🤔🤔🤔

Theres always that 1%
If they're cheap, get them. Xenons pre and post hover around the £300 per unit mark. Quite unusual to see a set of black ones as well. Normally Xenons are spec'd up on the 3.0
