I am experiencing a hesitation at 12 hundred rpm. My guess it’s a fuel or electric problem.
Has anyone advice on what spark plugs and coil packs to go for ?

No shortage of options
For quality it’s Bosch / NGK for plugs and not a bad choice for coils..Delphi Hitachi too..
As a cooking pot motor it’s not very demanding of it’s ignition equipment..
Just be aware of buying of eBay etc lots of fake poor quality copies..

Spark plug and coil pack replacement.
Have a quick to see if it's might be oil leaking into plug hole.
My colleagues car had coil go at 12k miles.
My car rough due oil in plug hole, was leaking cam cover at about 90k miles.

Spark plug and coil pack replacement.
On mine (23i) under load I'd get a hesitation and then the light on the dash. Put the code reader on it and found one of the cylinders wasn't firing, so I swapped that coil pack around with another one and also swapped the spark plug around with a different one, then drove it again and waited for it to happen.
The principle here is that when it happens again to code read it and see which cylinder is now at fault, if it's the one that the coil pack was swapped to then it's the coil pack. If it was the one the spark plug was swapped to then it's the spark plug. If it remained at the same cylinder then it could possibly have been the injector.
As it turned out it was the coil pack so i got all six new ones and a set of plugs as well, to be on the safe side.
These are the coil packs I got, seemed to be a really good price, and I've got Prime so no delivery charge either
