Screen wash leak…
Hi,
Gave the engine bay a quick check and noted the screen wash was very low.
Topped it up and then saw it leak under the bumper, passenger side. I’m guessing the culprit is the headlight washer on the passenger side.
Any advice to fix would be welcomed! Guessing it’s a “bumper off” job …?

Not bumper off at all, reach inside the wheel arch.
I coded mine out (or pull fuse 40). I bought a replacement for my leaking one but didn’t bother with that in the end, easier to get rid of it

Thanx for the feedback PVR. That said, i would need to stop the leak before pulling the fuse. Can I get to the washer just via the wheel arch panel?..

Yes you can, or plug it at the bottle side where the pump nearest to the front of the car is the one going to the headlights

Screen wash leak…
I had a leak on the driver's side.
I removed the bumper as I was also dealing with foglights but my issue was the hose wasn't properly connected to the washer nozzle. It was a simple job to fit it properly. So in my case, coding out or pulling the fuse made no difference.

Good luck with that!!
I tried it...was in danger of looking like I was self harming. In the end up, there was no way, I was getting the foglights off without removing the bumper.
Removing the bumper isn't a big deal really...sped up foglights and screenwash jobs and made it worthwhile. Also good to get to know your own car in any case.

Screen wash leak…
One of mine was leaking when I bought my car so I took it to Ross at RBM and he got to it by removing the front half of the wheelarch liner which struck me as easier than removing the bumper.
After it was fixed I pulled out Fuse 40, but a few weeks ago one of them started leaking again so all the fluid escaped.
This time I removed the hose from the pump, stuck another short pipe on and plugged the end.

Bumper removal isn't really difficult or a big job. But since I did mine, I've learned that the clips at the wheel arch reflectors can break and are fairly costly for what they are.
You also need somewhere to put the bumper while working on the car and not everyone has space so might be reluctant to go down that route.

Thanx for the feedback. Will take a look this weekend.
Mr Tidy, is it fairly easy to remove? I was gonna remove the bumper but this way may be simpler….

So bumper off, which was a bit trickier as it didn’t have those push type pins, but plastic screws, which I ended up cutting off. Passenger side bumper bracket came off completely - anyone know how to put it back in?
Cleaned the inside off spilt screen wash, then filled it with water to see where the leak is. And can’t see a leak anywhere! Tried activating the screen wash but the headlight washer is not working at all now.
I’m at a bit of a loss now tbh

I had the same problem and sorted by disconnecting the pipe from the washer jet and plugged it. All done with the wheel off and light inspection panels removed.
