When replacing a rear brake bulb I have found a significant difference between the inner section right and left hand bulb fixtures.
The right side has one H21W bulb in a black push fit socket (part number 63117407330) and a W16W bulb in a grey push fit socket (part number 63216916471). This is as shown on RealOEM. The wiring goes to the base fixed into the light cluster.
The left side has two W16W bulbs both fitted into sockets which appear to be directly wired. This whole assembly pushes into the unwired base in the light cluster. This is completely different to the parts shown on RealOEM.
Apart from having one side with a 16W bulb and the other with a 21W bulb they both seem to function correctly.
Has anybody else found a similar arrangement on their car? Any ideas what parts may have been used on the left side?

Looks like someone lost or broke the old bulb socket. You can see black electrical tape.

On the off chance you want them, I’m selling two mint condition rear lights!
