Style 189 v 203

Post by Watson1911 » Wed Apr 24, 2024 8:31 am

Morning all. Been looking into some 18 inch OE options.

The Style 203 look great but seem impossible to find.

The style 189 are very similar to the 203 and more readily available.

What are people’s thoughts and experiences? Presumably some of you guys are running these?

203s were offered as an upgrade from standard on the E86 coupe definitely, and are therefore authentic, whereas the 189s weren’t and therefore aren’t.

However, the 189s have a better offset than the 203s, although from a visual perspective they are a heavier wheel.

If you are running 203s you need to make sure your callipers and discs are in good condition because they are highly visible. On the plus side the 203s maybe the easiest wheel to clean of all the BMW option.
