New Z4M OWNER

Post by dogooder » Tue Feb 22, 2011 8:55 pm

Hi Guys-Just got a z4m in imola red with red nappa interior. Love it. But got issues with rear discs wearing rough on both sides. Is this usual?

Welcome nice choice of car :D, the discs can get deposits build up from the pads. How is it manifesting or is it visibly noticeable when looking at the discs?

Where are you based also?

Hi and welcome. Best colour as well

In fact if your car has imola red interior then it's the only other one I know of besides my own. Most imolas are black or cream interiors.

Look forward to seeing som pics.

Am in Notts! I've had the car a couple of months and didn't use the brakes too hard initially because of the ice/snow. When I used them to brake hard they shuddered quite badly. I inspected them to find very uneven wear and grooving. Took the car back to Sytners BMW, they cleaned them up and advised I try them. Two weeks later they are still grooving and only appear to be catching in places, Fronts are cool.

Nice one- I haven't seen this colour combo either. Yeah I agree Red is a cool colour. Would have liked the cream interior but would be a bugger to keep clean.
