$446 on the link above... So, the smaller filter I can see is fitted to the sound generator input to the cabin, hence why it is noisy ? Is that part of the kit ?

The smaller filter is indeed also part of the kit.
Why noisy ... maybe it is better to say that it was too noisy for my use and liking ...
At that time I used the car for commuting and having a loud intake is not so nice when driving 90% highway.
If I should use the car mainly as weekend or trackcar, the intake probably would have stayed on.

It think it is difficult to find an intake, or even exhaust, that has the loudness you prefer ...
Having read some online reviews before buying, I found only one review saying that the intake was too loud, all the others said it was not loud enough?!
So it being too loud or not for your liking is hard to say ...

God I hope theres someone still here looking on this thread....

Ok so I've read all that.
Have a 2008 2.5i (174bhp) N52 engine.
Seems like the 2.5i version has been forgotten about.

Would that AFE air intake work with my car?
I have pictures, if it helps. And when i figure out how to post them; i will.
