£524 fitted a good price for Vred. Ult. Sessantas? Paid £481

Post by eyup » Mon May 23, 2011 3:31 pm

Hi guys,

As above really, although I could go via Camskill and then a local fitter for a total price of £482 for the sake of £40 I may save myself the hassle and get the local to source the tyres also (i did ask them if they would split the difference but would not!).

Does this sound like a reasonable price? Thought I may as well check while I await a phone call from Kris Knott & co to confirm it is ok for me to fit non runflats (not sure why it is taking so long for them to call back! Three hours and waiting).

I presume the extra £100 quid or so for the Vreds is worth it against the Falken 452's (based on the reviews from tyrereview)

Cheers

I checked at http://www.blackcircles.com a couple of weeks back for my 108's and they were about £550 fitted IIRC so your price seems good.

Tyremen are £464 + £10 delivery. So will be slightly cheaper, depending on your fitting costs. Is also worth checking the price on mytyres - although they take a little longer for delivery normally.

Camskill have them for £441.12 delivered - that's where I'll be getting them from when I drop the runflats

My wheel sizes are different from yours so the cost is not comparable.

Quality tyres though

Thats who I was going to use. Their main site is local I am led to understand. The costs I stated include fitting so Camskill plus cheapo local would be cheapest. Tyremen want £15 per wheel. I just dont think I can be bothered driving the tyres around myself.

Going to phone Tyremen later this week to see what they can do. £40 isnt alot to safeguard a fitter damaging a tyre and the headache it would cause. cheers for your comment
