Today I detailed my Sister Beetle

Post by z4alfie » Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:17 pm

My sister bought a beetle brand new in 2003. After a few hundred roll over washes and total neglect, the paint was as flat as the floor.

However, its only 48k and so I thought it must be salvageable........so

Today I clayed, cut and carnuba waxed it for her. 2 and a half hours of toil and this is the result

Looks like a fab job, hope she appreciates what went into getting that finish.

Only 2.5 hours? You obviously don't get on!! :D

Try an 8 hour detail and then you know you're expecting a good birthday pressie! But I guess it was someone else's car, so you're let off!!

Have to say, VW paint is pretty good quality. My Golf cabrio was dragon Green and was amazing when it was polished
