Garage Floor
A much discussed topic;
I ordered some pva foam interlocking mats which due to a crap ebay seller have now cancelled.
I'm now looking at straightforward vinyl to cover the bare concrete? Car would sit on the vinyl.
I've found some on ebay 4.5x3m around £70 delivered.
Any Thoughts..?

I've explored that route & due to a few oil spillages would need acid treatment, sealing, then painting. Even then it could lift under the tyresVvrooomM wrote:Paint it.

Hoping that vinyl is a quick simple job...

Cheers will do;inkey$ wrote:I went for interlocking on eBay and had great service and very cheap. Check my history of threads for more detail but couldn't be happier. Delivered next day too and a shade under £100.
Do you have any pics, any issues driving the car onto them?

Some on here will keep hearing me say look in Costco.
They did both a floor roll and interlocking tiles, so if u knew someone with a card could take a good look rather than buyIng blind on eBay

Re: Garage Floor
I'd never paint a garage floor again: no matter the preparation I've always had paint lifting under the wheels, etc. Plus it's not cheap. I'd rather go with cheap vinyl if I was doing it again.

Cheap rubber car mats solves the paint lifting issue.

New flooring fitted,
It took approx 45 mins to fit & trim. Cost was £70, sturdy 12mm thick pca foam. Slight indents where the tyres sit but hardly noticeable.

Re: Garage Floor
Easy to get in and out? I used to drive the Elise into the garage (never tried reversing into it). I wish I have a double garage.

It's just about ok to get in & out, & personaly find it easier to reverse in as I can use the mirrors.
Up until 2 weeks ago the garage was full of cr*p, dusty, dirty with unpainted walls etc. Garden shed, hard labour & 2 weeks later and almost done.
Just ordered a gripper light etc & should be all set for autumn / winter.
