Just fitted my snow tyres

Post by nicollow » Mon Dec 05, 2011 11:20 am

So after getting hold of a set of Michelin Alpin winter tyres and a set of 16s, I stuck them on the car on Sunday. Not a moment too soon as it was snowy already when I put em on. Havent really tried them out properly in the snow yet, as Ive had to take the girlfriends E46 Touring to work and dump my summer 18s off. But the one thing I did notice was how bloody comfy the Z4 rode with 16" wheels on!! Going to be tricky stickin the ellipsiods back on come springtime!! :P

Same with my wifes 3 Series. Off with the 19s and on with the winter 18s - much smoother and more comfortable ride.

I had fun with the alpins this morning in 3 inches of snow.
I finally got to spin the wheels on the Z.
It was brilliant though, accelerated well and braked hard.
Drifting through the drifts.

I am a convert to winter tyres.

:) :) :) :) :)
