Yes. That's a parking lot just behind the top of Schauinsland.
The second photo is on the B500, if you know it.

I thought it looked very familiar. It was either Shauinsland or the road up to Belchen ( as above) - my first choice was correct

We’ve been going that area for almost 30 years now - always by road. Only Covid and now some medical issues have prevented our booking again this year. Hopefully we will get the OK soon and may be able to do a late summer trip!

We normally manage to make a visit which coincides with the Wein Fest in Staufen!

Tomorrow I think we will finish this long weekend with a nice trip home
