Quad, that's awesome, great job!

We are looking at Monday 22nd July at Cadwell Park. There would be 6 or 7 x 15 minute sessions for £99 and they would run the day as follows...

Cars
Bikes
Z4's
Bikes

They can arrange camping the night before if we want so could have a BBQ on the Sunday night.
They would set it up so we can book on their website and there is a maximum of 30 cars.

Please check your diaries and let me know if you are interested. If I have enough interest I'll set it up.

All cars will need to have tow hook attached incase of breakdown and drivers will need helmets which can be hired at the track. If driving with the roof down arms and legs to be covered and drivers must wear gloves. Apart from that everything is straight forward as i doubt anybody will be over the 105db sound limit.
What is the requirement for insurance do you need anything on the track? Never done a car track day :)

You don't have to have insurance. When I attended last week I was the only person who I spoke to that had bought insurance (yes I talk to myself a lot). I didn't insure the full amount. Insurance companies allow you to inure the amount you feel happy with and you would only loose out if you wrote it off, as they would only pay out up to the amount you insured for. Any accidents that occur are always treated on a knock for knock basis on the track and will not effect your no claims bonus.

Anyone with Classicline insurance is covered for track days but you have to inform them a few days before hand.

To be honest everybody on the track behaved themselves and it was a good day. It was a little dawnting to start with but after the sighting laps behind the safety car I relaxed and had a good day, steadily increasing my speed throughout the event.

I've been getting some insurance quotes and they seem to be around the £90-£100 mark for up to £10,000.

I can ask the cheapest insurance company if they will do a group buy for a Z4 only track day?

I've just had a quote from moris.co.uk for Z4 only track day insuring £11,000 for £80.59.

That seems good to me?

Thanks for the info and the insurance quote data. Interested i don't want to go crazy but just to find out what the car is capable of without loosing my licence  . When would you need a firm commitment for numbers etc?

I am speaking to the guy at MSVT again tomorrow to finalise the details. They will then accept the bookings on line next week. At least by July the snow should have hopefully disappeared.
