I was toying with the idea of coming over last minute unannounced as North & South Wales have some fantastic roads... snow shafted that surprise.

Is this revised date set in stone or in snow?

Is this still happening? I took a hoon around my local area (North Wales) and it's pretty good at the moment.
Hopefully the snow and salty roads will clear up, I'd be more than up for this? If not then maybe another date ?

Hope it's all gone, as I came around a corner (somewhere between Loggerheads, Nantwich, Market Drayton) last Thursday evening to find a car almost on top of me due to a 6ft bank of snow blocking the other side of the road.

My B&B from the last cancelled one recommended the dragon as good food.... We went to the bistro though.

Dragon had been recommended to me a couple of times as well, but not tried it and I'll be eating at the royal oak on the friday so will be a change, unless mmm-five fancies f&c in Barmouth friday night so we can have a blast while roads are quite

Sounds like a good plan.

F&C by the seaside at -10ºC is always a welcome experience - and I'll bring my catapult to either keep the seagulls/pigeons away or to fire chips at them.

Plan is to finish work (at home) by 4pm and then head over to Betws-y-Coed. So should be there about 5:45pm which gives me enough time to check in and get to Barmouth by about 7pm.

I might be able to escape earlier if I need to, but I'll have to negotiate it with the project team beforehand, as there's always something coming up on a Friday afternoon with a deadline of Monday morning

Another alternative is to meet in Barmouth, which saves either of us diverting through ByC - and means I could be in Barmouth by 6:30pm.
