is this zed worth it?

Post by ianzed » Mon Aug 12, 2013 3:59 pm

Looking for a z4 roadster, like the look of this one on piston, is it over priced? Good spec? It seems so many different extras to know what to go for.

I think that is over priced.

I would be happy if i got 6k 6.5 on a great day. Mine is the same year and has more toys and less millage.
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

definately got the pistonhead tax on that.. £6.5 is top dollar for it imo.
Go in at 6k and see my friend.

Did think it was over priced.

I hate starting a new venture not knowing about the car.

A nice example from the looks of it.

Do agree with the others that the price is a bit high with that mileage.

Does have some nice extras though (clear facelift rear lights are £200-300 if you can source them!).

I'd offer £6K and see where it goes from there.

Plenty of good ones out there (you hardly ever see a real ropey example in fairness!).

Best of luck with the search.

Pete :)

No nav, although some may see that as a positive.

I paid significantly less for mine from a dealer with warranty etc. Haven't needed it but it's there.

Personally I don't like the black wheels but that's not a reason for someone else not to buy.

Too much by a long way. Leave it a week or so and the price will come down then offer £5.5 and get it for less than £6k.

top money would be £6k in my book

It looks clean and straight, although it looks like the high-powered jet hose has been used on the roof hence all the marks

Looks a bit low IMHO, 45mm down on the original height, that's got to make an already poor ride worse?

If its on coilovers it could be ok. I had just lowering springs and i didn't like it at all. Just fitted coilovers and its lower handles better and i would say more comfortable than stranded.

At the end of the day, if you didn't like the ride height, you could probably swap/sell the lowering springs and replace them with OEM ones??

Not a huge detracting factor if the rest of the cars features appeal, and the price is right of course!

Let us know how you get on. :)
