Kerbed the Rims!

Post by benben » Sun May 04, 2014 4:39 am

Hey guys, unfortunately i did the unthinkable at last, kerbed the front rims and now a layer of the paint is gone, does any one know of a DYI that i can follow because doing it professionally here in Australia is pretty expensive. Would really appreciate any comments. :headbang:

If the metal is not too cut and only a small area you could sand it smooth and then use a paint touchup kit in a similar silver. If the metal is cut you'd need a filler first. Wont be perfect but less noticeable.

If you want to perfect you'd prob have to paint the entire wheel though.

Thanks mate, The metal doesn't look cut, just skimmed it off from the looks of it.
My rims are matte black so you reckon a touch up kit will do it?
where would you get it from? ebay?
